Indore, May 8 (NationPress) The Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) is gearing up for its exciting new season, which kicks off on May 27 at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Designed to promote grassroots cricket talent throughout the state, this year’s league is poised to be more expansive and inclusive than ever.
In a groundbreaking initiative, the season will feature the inaugural Women’s Cricket League, running concurrently with the men's matches. This women’s tournament will showcase three teams, including one that will represent the capital city of Bhopal.
Hosted by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA) under the guidance of the MP Cricket Association, the men’s league has expanded from five to seven teams, adding representatives from the Bundelkhand and Chambal regions.
Commenting on the league, Mahanaaryaman Rao Scindia, vice president of GDCA, stated, "We’re thrilled to embark on another fantastic year with MPL!
