Indore, May 31 (NationPress) Union Minister and the previous Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA), Jyotiraditya Scindia, shared his excitement for the forthcoming season of the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL), labeling it a historic opportunity for players to exhibit their skills on a grand platform.
The MPL is scheduled to commence on June 12 at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Shankarpur, Gwalior. The league, managed by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA) under the umbrella of the MP Cricket Association, has expanded from five teams last year to seven, welcoming teams from both the Bundelkhand and Chambal regions.
"The Madhya Pradesh League has already established a noteworthy reputation among cricket leagues nationally. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the MPCA and GDCA for making this league a reality," stated Jyotiraditya Scindia. "I believe this season will be filled with even greater excitement and historical moments. Our young players are making waves in the IPL, and I am confident they will excel this season as well," he added.
To boost fan interaction, the MPL also unveiled its exclusive mobile gaming application, MPL Cricket Clash, a free-to-play game that enables users to pick teams from the complete MPL lineup and enjoy the league experience virtually. "This year, we have introduced a mobile app and launched a green initiative where a tree will be planted for every dot ball bowled," said Scindia.
The forthcoming season will also feature a Women’s Cricket League running concurrently with the men’s matches, comprising three teams, one of which will represent the capital city of Bhopal.
