Panchkula (Haryana), March 5 (NationPress) Hockey Madhya Pradesh and Hockey Jharkhand claimed victories in Division A, while Hockey Uttarakhand triumphed in their Division ‘B’ match on the fifth day of the 15th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship 2025 held at the Tau Devi Lal Hockey Stadium here on Wednesday.
In the initial match of the day, Hockey Uttarakhand defeated Assam Hockey with a score of 9-0 in Division ‘B’, marking their third consecutive win and securing the top position in Pool A, thus earning promotion to Division ‘A’ for the upcoming season. Preeti Sharma (16’, 18’, 52’) and Vartika Rawat (23’, 35’, 45’) delivered remarkable hattricks, while captain Mamta Bhatt (4’, 57’) and Hema Singh (19’) also contributed goals in Hockey Uttarakhand’s commanding victory.
In the first match of Division ‘A’, Hockey Madhya Pradesh narrowly defeated Uttar Pradesh Hockey 2-1 in Pool D. The winning team’s Hritika Singh initiated the scoring with a field goal in the first quarter (7’).
