Ranchi, July 9 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh emerged victorious in their last league encounter against Chandigarh, while Maharashtra and Punjab settled for a tie, both gaining a point in the standings on the seventh day of the 15th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2025 at the Marang Gomke International Hockey Stadium here on Wednesday.
The first match of the day saw Maharashtra and Punjab end in a 1-1 stalemate in Division ‘A’. Anvi Rawat (35’) found the net for Hockey Maharashtra, while Saloni (37’) responded swiftly with an equalizer for Punjab, resulting in a draw.
In the subsequent match, Uttar Pradesh convincingly defeated Chandigarh 4-0 in Division ‘A’. Naina (34’, 48’, 59’) was the star, netting a hat-trick, while Arika Kumari (45’) added another goal, sealing the game for Hockey Chandigarh.
