New Delhi, June 7 (NationPress) Just a day after Piyush Chawla declared his retirement from all forms of cricket, former Indian left-handed batsman Yuvraj Singh praised the leg-spinner for a career defined by his remarkable ability to shine in crucial moments.
On Friday, Chawla concluded a remarkable 20-year professional cricket journey, having represented India in three Tests, 25 ODIs, and seven T20Is, amassing 43 wickets. He was also a key member of the victorious teams in the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup.
“Throughout the years, I’ve played alongside many talented teammates, but few possess the resilience and dedication that Piyush Chawla displayed on the field. From his debut as a teenager to becoming a two-time World Cup champion, you’ve built a career around performing when it was most needed,” Yuvraj remarked.
