New Delhi, April 20 (NationPress) Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) redeemed themselves from their earlier defeat at home with a decisive seven-wicket victory over Punjab Kings at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh on Sunday.

After Punjab Kings had claimed victory in their last match, their social media team shared a video mimicking Virat Kohli's dance from a previous advertisement. Following the win, Kohli humorously taunted Shreyas Iyer with an exuberant celebration right in front of him before RCB's social media took over.

RCB made several posts on their social media channels to tease their rivals. In one post, they shared a video of Kohli dancing with other performers, captioned, "Every masterpiece has a copy. Stick to the original. Enjoy."

In another post, RCB noted, "If you can give it, you gotta take it back as well."

The social media banter from RCB was on point after their home defeat against Punjab at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium last Friday.

Kohli scored an unbeaten 71 off 54 deliveries, including seven fours and a six, while Devdutt Padikkal contributed a rapid 61 off 35 balls, featuring four sixes and five fours. Together, they formed a pivotal 103-run partnership for the second wicket, leading to a significant win for their team.

Kohli was awarded Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.

Earlier, Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma took two wickets each, limiting Punjab to 157/6 in their 20 overs.

RCB captain Rajat Patidar praised his bowlers for their impressive performance, along with Kohli and Padikkal, who made the chase appear effortless.

"Credit goes to the bowlers. Dev and Kohli executed their plans exceptionally well. The bowlers contributed at various times, and their execution was commendable. We had to maintain tight lines as the pitch was slightly slow. That was the message to all bowlers," he mentioned in the post-match presentation.

"We discussed our fielding last night. Everyone put in their efforts, and it was commendable. I hope to win the toss at Chinnaswamy. We aim to play well at home and correct our mistakes there," Patidar added.

With 10 points from eight matches, RCB has ascended to the third position in the points table and will next face Rajasthan Royals in Bengaluru on April 24.
