Minister Sood mentioned that under the Fit India Movement, the Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, inaugurated the Fit India Cycling Drive in Delhi on December 17, 2024.
This cycling initiative has since transformed into a nationwide public movement, with "Sundays on Cycles" events being held across the country.
To date, the campaign has been conducted at over 250,000 locations, engaging nearly 2.7 million cyclists.

He urged more residents of Delhi to consider cycling, as it is a beneficial form of exercise.
Furthermore, the Delhi government is exploring future plans to develop cycling-friendly lanes and infrastructure, allowing citizens to cycle safely and conveniently.
