London, July 14 (NationPress) India all-rounder Washington Sundar showed strong faith in the team's batting lineup as they prepare to chase 193 runs on the final day of the third Test against England at Lord's.
After day four, India faced a challenging 58/4, having lost Yashasvi Jaiswal, Karun Nair, and captain Shubman Gill in the last session on Sunday. With 135 runs needed to secure victory at this historic venue, the team's hopes are pinned on overnight batter KL Rahul (33 not out) and Rishabh Pant, who will be the first to face the ball on Monday.
Reflecting on the current match situation, Sundar pointed out the strength of the team with Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, and himself still to bat.
"We have many expectations on how we want things to unfold, but we will embrace the challenge. Tomorrow, we will step out with a positive mindset. We have some strong batsmen in the dressing room, and winning a Test at Lord's would be incredible. I believe we are in a good position," Sundar shared during the post-day press conference.
