Sunderland, Aug 17 (NationPress) Sunderland AFC has officially welcomed Nordi Mukiele to their ranks. The skilled defender has entered into a four-year agreement at the Stadium of Light, coinciding with the commencement of the 2025-26 Premier League season.
A French international, Mukiele transfers to Wearside from Paris Saint-Germain for an undisclosed fee, after a loan stint at Bayer Leverkusen last season in the Bundesliga.
The 27-year-old has a rich history with clubs such as Stade Lavallois, Montpellier HSC, and RB Leipzig, honing his skills in Europe’s top leagues.
With over 300 appearances under his belt, Mukiele has played 115 matches in the Bundesliga, 85 in Ligue 1, and 35 in the UEFA Champions League.

Upon joining Paris Saint-Germain, Mukiele helped the team secure back-to-back Ligue 1 titles in 2023 and 2024, along with the 2024 Coupe de France and two Trophée des Champions, before transitioning to Bayer Leverkusen.
