Chennai, Oct 5 (NationPress) Bharat Hooda delivered an impressive Super 10 while Shubham Shinde added a significant High Five, enabling the Telugu Titans to secure a thrilling 40-35 victory over the UP Yoddhas in a match of Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) at the SDAT Multi Purpose Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Sunday night.

This marks the Titans' fourth consecutive win, bolstered by crucial contributions from Vijay Malik, who netted nine points, and Praful Zaware, whose pivotal four-point cameo was vital.

Bharat Hooda achieved his 100th raid point in PKL 12, accumulating a total of 700 points in the league. Likewise, his captain, Vijay Malik, also reached 100 raid points this season. For the UP Yoddhas, Bhavani Rajput celebrated his career-best performance with a Super 10, scoring 16 points, while Guman Singh contributed 8 points.

The match commenced with both teams exhibiting fierce competitiveness, as Vijay Malik initiated the scoring with a multi-point raid, establishing a strong start for his team before Bharat Hooda took charge. Bhavani Rajput for the UP Yoddhas was on fire, notching five points in five minutes, keeping the scoreline tight.

Gradually, the Telugu Titans established a five-point advantage thanks to a Super Tackle by Chetan Sahu, followed by a tackle from Shubham Shinde. Bharat Hooda maintained the momentum, ensuring his team stayed ahead. However, Guman Singh made a mark for his side, narrowing the gap to two points at 13-10 after the first ten minutes.

The raider then executed the first All Out of the match, granting the Telugu Titans a six-point lead. Bharat Hooda further expanded that lead to nine points with a successful Do-Or-Die Raid, but Bhavani Rajput responded swiftly on his own Do-Or-Die Raid, keeping his team competitive.

Gagan Gowda got on the scoreboard, while Hitesh made his first tackle off the bench, aiding Bhavani Rajput, who had nine points in the first half. Bharat Hooda matched that output for the Telugu Titans, along with Vijay Malik, contributing six points to give the Titans a 22-16 lead at halftime.

In the second half's opening raid, Bhavani Rajput completed his Super 10 for the match. Vijay Malik and Bhavani Rajput exchanged raids during their respective Do-Or-Die Raids, with the Telugu Titans maintaining their lead. A Super Tackle by Ajit Pawar was followed by Bharat Hooda achieving his own Super 10, keeping control of the game. His performance also marked his 700 raid points in the PKL.

However, the UP Yoddhas quickly narrowed the margin to three points by executing an All Out against their opponents. Guman Singh continued to create impact from the bench, while Bhavani Rajput became a constant threat, reducing the lead to 30-27 with under ten minutes remaining.

With the momentum swinging in their favor, the Yoddhas pressed on with Bhavani Rajput leading the charge, supported defensively by Gagan Gowda. Unfortunately for them, the Titans countered with a Super Tackle from Shubham Shinde, maintaining a 33-29 lead. He followed this with another crucial Super Tackle, ensuring his team held a three-point advantage with less than three minutes on the clock.

Despite Bhavani Rajput's raiding skills keeping the UP Yoddhas in contention, the Telugu Titans found an unexpected hero in Praful Zaware, who secured critical points during his last moments on the mat. With time winding down, his four points proved invaluable, and Bharat Hooda sealed the match, ensuring the Telugu Titans emerged victorious with a final score of 40-35 in this exhilarating encounter.
