Top Indian Air Rifle Shooters Compete at the 15th RR Lakshya Cup

Mumbai, Jan 2 (NationPress) India’s emerging air rifle shooters are set to compete at the 15th RR Lakshya Cup 2024 on January 4 and 5, 2025, at the fully electronic Lakshya Shooting Club located within the Karnala Sports Academy in Panvel, Navi Mumbai. The reigning national champions in both men’s and women’s categories, Shahu Mane, who is an alumnus of Lakshya Shooting Club, and Ananya Naidu, will be among the top contenders seeking glory at this prestigious event.

Prominent Olympians such as Divyansh Singh Panwar, Arjun Babuta, and Sandeep Singh will also participate.

Suma Shirur, High-Performance Director at Lakshya Shooting Club, stated, “At RR LAKSHYA Cup, we strive to identify talent, reward excellence, and offer a platform for shooters to demonstrate their skills at the highest level. The champions of the 2018 and 2017 editions, Divyansh Singh Panwar from Rajasthan and Deepak Kumar from the Air Force, secured quota places for the Tokyo Olympics, as did the runner-up from 2017, Anjum Moudgil. Shahu Mane, the junior gold medalist at the 9th RR Lakshya Cup in 2017, later won silver at the Youth Olympics held in Buenos Aires in 2018.

The junior final for the 10m air rifle will commence at 2 pm, followed by the senior final at 3:30 pm on January 5.
