Dehradun, Nov 25 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, announced on Tuesday that the government successfully managed the Char Dham Yatra for 51 lakh pilgrims, overcoming nearly three months of interruptions caused by natural disasters.
After paying homage on the 350th anniversary of the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur, he stated, "I commend the entire team of officials and partners for their efforts in making the Char Dham Yatra a success. We are currently gearing up for the winter pilgrimages and reaffirm our promise to enhance the organization of future Char Dham Yatra events."
He remarked, "This year's Char Dham Yatra encountered numerous hurdles. While operations faced disruptions, the state endured challenging conditions for an extended period, leading to a near three-month halt of the yatra. Nevertheless, over 5.1 million pilgrims participated, and all reported a positive experience," he told the media.
On the martyrdom day of the ninth Guru of the Sikh faith, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, who gave his life for the defense of religion and humanity, Dhami expressed, "Countless salutations. Your unyielding bravery, steadfast devotion, and unmatched commitment to faith motivate us all to persist on the path of truth, courage, and duty indefinitely."
In another post on X regarding the 'Dhwajarohan Utsav' at the Ram Janambhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, the Uttarakhand CM remarked, "This saffron flag flying high over the magnificent Ram Temple stands as a testament to our everlasting Sanatan culture and the divine story of victory following five centuries of struggle."
He added, "Today, the flag-bearers of Sanatan culture, our esteemed Prime Minister Shri @narendramodiji and the respected Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh @DrMohanBhagwatji, have raised the saffron flag at the Ram Temple. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, this religious renaissance heralds the dawn of a new era of the nation’s faith and spiritual pride," Dhami stated on X.
