Chandigarh, Oct 5 (NationPress) Reinforcing its dedication to liberating Punjab from the devastating impact of drugs, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has unveiled the new office-bearers of the Nasha Mukti Morcha as part of its ‘Yudh Nashiyan Virudh’ (war against drugs campaign) on Sunday.
The newly appointed members are set to play a pivotal role statewide in promoting awareness about the detrimental effects of drugs, assisting victims in accessing de-addiction centres, and ensuring rigorous compliance with the anti-drug laws established by the government.
AAP President Aman Arora extended his congratulations to the newly appointed office-bearers, highlighting their significant responsibilities.

In the ongoing battle against drugs “Yudh Nashiyan Virudh”, the Punjab Police conducted raids at 313 locations on Sunday, resulting in the arrest of 82 drug smugglers following the filing of 62 first information reports (FIRs) statewide.
With this operation, a total of 31,972 drug smugglers have been apprehended over 218 days. The raids yielded the recovery of 3.9 kg of heroin, 67 kg of poppy husk, 660 intoxicating tablets and capsules, along with Rs 41,640 in drug-related finances from the arrested smugglers.
