GCA Secretary Anil Patel shared insights about Aarya Desai's evolving cricket journey:
"I have never witnessed anyone strike the ball with such authority. This remarkable knock occurred in a tournament recognized by both the Surat District Cricket Association and the Gujarat Cricket Association, featuring potential players from 11 districts participating in this event," Anil Patel conveyed to IANS via phone.
Patel elaborated on the tournament's structure, noting its sixth season following a consistent format. He also mentioned the GCA's organization of a parallel women’s tournament over the last three years.
He remarked that players from U19, U23, and senior categories across the state are all competing in the Surat event.
Discussing Aarya Desai, Patel stated, "He was part of the KKR team in the IPL previously, and he shows great promise. He accumulated over 500 runs in the last Ranji Trophy season and performed admirably in both white-ball competitions. Recently, he was selected for the Duleep Trophy team and even made the India U23 squad for an Emerging Players Tournament. We anticipate a bright future for him," he concluded.
