Kolkata, Feb 7 (NationPress) Just a day after a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court issued a warrant for his arrest, former Deputy Superintendent of R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital, Akhtar Ali, made an appearance in court on Saturday after being transported from a Howrah hospital. Unfortunately, the court had closed its doors by 12:30 p.m., preventing his surrender, and he is now scheduled to return on Monday.
Upon his arrival, he stated, “The funds I am accused of acquiring were borrowed for my grandfather’s medical treatment. I am being framed in a conspiracy.”
Notably, Akhtar did not bring his lawyer along and failed to notify the court in advance of his arrival from the hospital. Consequently, he left without surrendering due to the early court closure.
