Arunachal Pradesh CM Reiterates Warning to Officials Against Corruption for Personal Gain

Itanagar, Dec 18 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, once again issued a stern warning on Wednesday to individuals, particularly those in government positions, who engage in corrupt practices for personal gain.
During the passing-out parade of the 49th batch of Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) recruits at the Police Training Centre in Banderdewa, the Chief Minister highlighted concerns regarding rumors about contractual ANM and GNM nurses being asked to pay large sums of money for the regularization of their positions.
"I have consistently voiced my concerns about corruption on every platform available. I have personally urged the Director General of Police (DGP), Anand Mohan, to conduct a thorough investigation into these allegations. If any truth is found, those involved will face consequences," he stated.
Khandu mentioned that the state Cabinet has already made a decision to regularize the employment of contractual nurses in the health department in phases and expressed disbelief that some individuals are still willing to pay for regularization.
"I am astonished. Why would anyone pay for regularization when the government has already committed to it?" he questioned.
Should any truth to the rumors emerge, Khandu warned that strict action would be taken against those responsible.
He encouraged the new police recruits to uphold integrity and combat corruption as they begin their duties across the state.
Extending his congratulations to Home Minister Mama Natung, DGP Anand Mohan, and the Principal of the Police Training Centre, Khandu expressed his satisfaction that the 49th batch comprises 885 constables, marking the largest group to graduate from the training facility.
This batch includes 110 female constables, and they are set to commence their duties on January 13, 2025.
Khandu also noted that earlier this year, 109 Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and 42 Recruit Firemen completed their training, bringing the total number of personnel trained in 2024 to an impressive 1,081.
