New Delhi, Sep 30 (NationPress) Atmanirbharata focuses on creating robust supply and value chains capable of enduring global disruptions, preventing the exploitation of trade, and ensuring that India consistently fulfills its international commitments, stated Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday.
During his address at a CII event, the minister emphasized that strong partnerships are founded on technology, trust, trade, talent, and tradition.
“India’s emphasis is on self-reliance (Atmanirbhar) to fortify our supply chains; self-confidence (Atmavishwas) to aspire for significant objectives; and self-protection (Atmaraksha) to safeguard India's interests,” remarked the minister.
Regarding Atmavishwas, he mentioned that India now engages with the global community from a position of strength, confidently pursuing ambitious goals while collaborating as an equal partner in the global economy.
Atmaraksha is about ensuring the safety of Indians and advancing the broader interests of humanity, resonating with the G20 Summit theme of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — “One World, One Family, One Future.”
Goyal noted that this day aligns with Durgashtami, representing strength, resilience, and the victory of good over evil. He pointed out that amid global turbulence, volatility, and uncertainty, India stands as a beacon—the world’s fastest-growing economy, driven by youthful, aspiring citizens committed to enhancing their quality of life and contributing positively to the world.
In praising the contributions of Andhra Pradesh to India’s development, Goyal commended Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for fostering technology-driven governance, initiating the high-tech city in Hyderabad, and striving to establish a modern capital in Amaravati.
He mentioned that Andhra Pradesh is the only state in India with three upcoming industrial corridors at Krishnapatnam, Orvakal, and Kopparthy.
The minister also highlighted that the recent reform of the GST system will simplify processes, alleviate the tax burden on consumers, and significantly enhance consumption-driven growth in the Indian economy.
Looking forward to the 30th CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, Goyal expressed optimism that India, along with its international partners, could establish stronger and more resilient collaborations. He reiterated that CII plays a crucial role as a connection between India and the global community.
Naidu invited investors to participate in the Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam in November to explore investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh.
