New Delhi, April 23 (NationPress) In the wake of the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in the loss of 26 lives and left many injured, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia has vehemently condemned this atrocious and cowardly act, affirming that the organization stands in solidarity with the families of the victims during this difficult time.

“The cricket community is profoundly shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of innocent lives in the horrific terror attack at Pahalgam yesterday. On behalf of the BCCI, I unequivocally condemn this appalling and cowardly act and extend our deepest condolences to the grieving families, along with our prayers for the souls lost. We stand united with them in their sorrow and anguish during this tragic period,” Saikia stated on Wednesday.

On Tuesday afternoon, 26 individuals, both tourists and locals, were killed while multiple others suffered injuries when terrorists opened fire on them in the beautiful Baisaran Valley, a scenic meadow located around six kilometers from the tourist destination of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
