New Delhi, March 26 (NationPress) JD-U spokesperson Neeraj Kumar expressed strong disapproval on Wednesday regarding the escalating poster battle in Bihar, which has gained momentum as elections draw near.
Neeraj Kumar remarked, "There is no confirmed information about the individual responsible for the poster outside Rabri Devi’s residence. However, it is essential for the younger generation to experience this reality. Bihar has endured considerable social and political turmoil due to the Lalu ideology. A blemish has been marked on Bihar's reputation."
As the elections approach, the poster battle in Bihar has commenced. JD(U) supporters have unveiled a new poster titled 'Bhoolega Nahi Bihar' (Bihar will not forget). This poster underscores the atrocities of the jungle raj and carries the message 'Bhoolega Nahi Bihar'.
The dispute escalated when the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) displayed a provocative poster targeting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar regarding his position on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill and the National Register of Citizens (NRC).
The poster was showcased outside the residence of former CM and RJD leader Rabri Devi at 10 Circular Road, Patna, portraying CM Nitish greeting a Muslim cleric.
The message on the poster stated, "Tum To Dhokhebaaz Ho, Wada Karke Bhul Jate Ho", accusing Nitish of being a cheater who forgets his commitments.
Placed by RJD leader Sanju Kohli, the poster also contained a harsh statement, "I will take your vote but not stand with you on NRC and Waqf Bill."
The poster battle arises amidst growing discontent among Muslim organizations, which recently opted out of CM Nitish’s Iftar party, indicating dissatisfaction with his policies, particularly regarding the Waqf Bill and NRC.
Through this provocative poster, RJD appears to aim at consolidating its traditional Muslim-Yadav (MY) vote bank, presenting itself as the true voice of minorities in Bihar.
