New Delhi, Feb 19 (NationPress) AAP leader and former Delhi minister Gopal Rai criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday, stating that while the party is sending out invitations for the Chief Minister's swearing-in ceremony, they have yet to reveal who will hold the position.

In a statement to IANS, Rai remarked, "The BJP is mocking all traditions. They are sending invites, but the announcement of the Delhi Chief Minister is still pending."

Referring to the invitations extended to AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and MLA Atishi for the event, he mentioned that it is time for the BJP to declare their Chief Minister candidate.

"This is not just a BJP swearing-in ceremony; it is for the Chief Minister. Let the BJP make their announcement first. We will determine later if AAP leaders will be present," Rai stated.

The BJP is expected to reveal their Chief Minister choice following a Legislature party meeting at the party’s state unit office located at Pant Marg around 7 p.m.

Rai also mentioned that during a recent meeting with party officials, they provided an oral report regarding the Assembly constituencies.

"Today, we convened a meeting with AAP's district Presidents, Secretaries, Assembly Presidents, and organizational ministers from all assembly seats in Delhi. During this meeting, all party officials shared their reports and suggestions," he added.

A ten-day period has been given for them to submit a review report, after which a discussion will take place with the AAP Convenor, and based on this, party leaders will be recognized, he explained.

The AAP leader further stated that those who contributed positively during the elections will receive rewards.

In the February 5 Assembly polls, the BJP claimed 48 seats, significantly reducing AAP to just 22 seats.
