Ahmedabad, Feb 20 (NationPress) The national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nitin Nabin, urged party MPs and MLAs in Gujarat on Friday to bolster their outreach efforts and guarantee an organized execution of welfare schemes through micro-management.
This meeting, held in Ahmedabad, saw participation from National General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Santhosh, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, state president Jagdish Vishwakarma, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, Union Minister and former state president C. R. Patil, along with party MPs and MLAs.
Nabin reminisced about his previous organizational trips to Gujarat during his time in the youth wing, stating, “For many years, the functioning of Gujarat BJP has been well-organized, time-bound, and exemplary.”
He referenced the philosophy of Antyodaya introduced by Deendayal Upadhyaya and the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” associated with Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. He emphasized that the work culture fostered under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is “strengthening India economically on the global stage.”
Nabin observed that the country’s youth were “disheartened and in depression” during 2012–13, adding: “At that juncture, PM Narendra Modi entered national politics, bringing good governance, creating a positive atmosphere, and instilling confidence among the youth, leading to a politics centered on transparency and development.”
He remarked, “Reaching great heights is arduous, and maintaining that position is equally challenging,” stating that the BJP enjoys public backing due to its strong leadership, clear policies, and a focus on development.
Nabin encouraged MPs and MLAs to enhance public engagement to ensure that central and state welfare schemes reach more constituents, utilize social media effectively, and ensure systematic arrangements through micro-management.
Chief Minister Patel mentioned that under the leadership of Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the BJP’s support base has broadened.
Referring to the recently unveiled Union Budget, he stated: "It was grounded in three duties and that the state budget has mirrored this direction by prioritizing the four pillars of GYAN -- the poor, youth, farmers, and women.
“Under PM Narendra Modi's guidance, every scheme focuses on the poor and middle class. Gujarat has evolved into the growth engine of the nation," Patel said.
He continued, “Following the financial discipline demonstrated by Narendra Modi, the Gujarat government is progressing toward holistic development."
Vishwakarma called Nabin’s first visit to Gujarat post his appointment as national president “not merely a formal tour but a remarkable fusion of Bihar’s intellectual depth and Gujarat’s progressive development vision.”
He remarked, “Gujarat has shown that achievements can be obtained through strong organization and firm resolve, while Bihar has illustrated the path of transformation via patience and commitment.”
Recalling PM Modi’s statement at the party’s Delhi headquarters -- “In the organization, Nitin Nabin is my boss and I am an ordinary worker” — Vishwakarma noted, “It exemplifies the BJP’s noble tradition where even an ordinary worker can achieve the highest position through dedication and hard work.”
He also reviewed the party’s electoral journey, citing its rise from two Lok Sabha seats in 1984 to 303 seats, and in Gujarat from 11 Assembly seats in 1984 to 156 in 2022, asserting that the BJP perceives politics “not merely as power, but as a path of service, resolve, and values”, with development, transparency, and national interest prioritized.
Sanghavi expressed it was his honor to have collaborated with Nabin in the youth wing.
“It is a matter of pride that a leader who worked extensively in the Yuva Morcha has ascended to the national presidency,” he stated, adding, “Nabin is a millennial president who has witnessed the country’s journey from radio to AI.
