Gandhinagar, March 23 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Gujarat convened on Monday, urging its members to enhance their community engagement and present the government's “report card” to the electorate ahead of the upcoming local body elections.
This meeting, conducted at the party’s state headquarters in Gandhinagar, was led by state president Jagdish Vishwakarma, with notable attendance from Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, and general secretary (organisation) Ratnakarji, among other key figures.
During his address to party members, Vishwakarma stressed the significance of a robust grassroots organization.
“The strength of the BJP lies in its grassroots engagement,” he asserted, encouraging workers to connect with the public through “contact, dialogue, and coordination” while showcasing the party’s achievements across various demographics.
He reiterated that the BJP remains steadfast in its ideological principles and characterized the organization as deeply committed to public service and integral humanism.
In remembrance of Martyrs’ Day, he honored Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for achieving a historic milestone with 8,931 days of uninterrupted leadership in Indian democracy.
Touching on recent policy achievements, he noted: “Following the abrogation of Article 370 and the establishment of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, we are now advancing toward a Uniform Civil Code. The Prime Minister has effectively eliminated casteism, dynastic rule, and corruption, thereby fostering development-centric politics.
Vishwakarma also underscored various welfare initiatives and economic programs, highlighting how schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi have greatly enhanced lives, positioning India as a global leader in sectors such as agriculture and the digital economy.
“Gujarat continues to flourish under the Chief Minister's guidance, citing initiatives such as a Rs 10,000 crore relief package for farmers, the Kisan Suryoday Yojana, and advancements in higher education and infrastructure,” he stated.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel remarked on the nation's progress despite global uncertainties.
“Even amidst global turbulence, our country is steadily advancing under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he noted, mentioning that over 75,000 Indians were safely repatriated during global crises.
He portrayed the BJP as a disciplined organization dedicated to member development and urged citizens to dismiss misinformation, insisting, “Citizens should avoid rumors and not be misled,” particularly regarding fuel prices.
Deputy Chief Minister Sanghavi emphasized the Prime Minister's efforts to elevate both the state and the nation on the global stage.
He encouraged party workers to ensure that the government's beneficial actions are communicated effectively to the public, stating, “Convey the people-centric initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to every citizen.”
He added that Gujarat might soon become the second state to implement a Uniform Civil Code and called for a united effort to achieve better outcomes in the upcoming local elections.
