BJP MLA Urges Immediate Action on Rising Crimes Against Female Students in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Dec 16 (NationPress) Senior BJP figure and ex-Madhya Pradesh cabinet minister Bhupendra Singh criticized his government for the escalating crimes against female students in the state, calling for urgent action during the Assembly's winter session that began on Monday.
During the ‘Question Hours’ segment, Bhupendra Singh inquired about the sexual exploitation of minor female students within schools, demanding clarification from the Education Department.
Representing the Khurai Assembly seat in Sagar district, Singh emphasized that the increasing crimes against female students on school grounds must be prioritized.
He voiced his dissatisfaction with the Education Ministry's insufficient response, claiming that the ministry has not adequately addressed safety measures for minor girls in schools.
Additionally, Congress MLA Jaivardhan Singh from Raghogarh accused the school education department of providing misleading information regarding actions taken against schools involved in the sexual exploitation of female students over the past year.
Jaivardhan Singh, son of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh, demanded accountability from School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh for the erroneous information provided by the department.
In defense, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla supported School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh, asserting that the department's responses were based on the questions posed to it.
"Claiming that incorrect information has been given would be inaccurate, as the Education Department has responded based on the inquiries it received. If any details are lacking in the department's reply, it can provide additional responses the following day," Shukla remarked.
