Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Bhopal, April 3 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh has initiated a major restructuring of its media team, appointing 9 state Co-media in-charges, 33 state spokespersons, and 41 media panelists.
This updated team was revealed late Thursday night, receiving the endorsement of State BJP President Hemant Khandelwal. Ashish Agarwal, the state media in charge, officially announced the list of the reformed media group.
Significantly, the party has included approximately 11 sitting MLAs as state spokespersons.
This strategy is perceived as a tactical move to integrate seasoned leaders with robust grassroots connections into the media operations, aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and credibility of the communication regarding the party’s policies and achievements.
Noteworthy individuals appointed as spokespersons include former ministers Archana Chitnis (MLA, Burhanpur) and Usha Thakur (MLA, Indore). Other current MLAs assigned spokesperson duties comprise Kunwar Singh Tekam (Sidhi), Gaurav Pardhi (Balaghat), Neeraj Singh Lodhi (Jabalpur), Sandeep Jaiswal (Katni), Santosh Varkade (Jabalpur), Dilip Parihar (Neemuch), Sanjay Shah (Harda), Dr. Yogesh Pandagre (Betul), and Chhaya More (Khandwa). Additionally, several former MLAs and senior leaders have been assigned crucial roles within the media team.
Among these are Kalsingh Bhabar, Yashpal Singh Sisodia, Ghanshyam Pironiya, Ramlal Rautel, Rajendra Bharti, and Hitesh Vajpayee, among others.
This reshuffle is considered part of the BJP’s preparations for the 2028 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.
Party officials are confident that reinforcing the media team with a combination of current legislators, seasoned spokespersons, and proactive panelists will enable the party to address political matters promptly and convey its narrative more effectively to the public.
The addition of sitting MLAs as spokespersons is particularly noteworthy as it illustrates the party’s intention to leverage the credibility and outreach of its elected officials during media interactions.
With this extensive overhaul, the BJP aspires to establish a more agile, responsive, and professional media framework that can effectively counteract opposition narratives and emphasize the government’s initiatives throughout the state.
