New Delhi, July 17 (NationPress) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Syed Zafar Islam on Thursday fiercely criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his comments regarding the imprisonment of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Speaking to reporters at the party's headquarters, Zafar Islam accused the Congress party of fostering disorder and practicing double standards, especially concerning corruption.
“It is extremely ironic for a family currently out on bail to discuss sending a sitting Chief Minister to prison,” remarked the BJP spokesperson. He likened Rahul Gandhi’s assertions to “a thief guarding the premises,” questioning Gandhi's credibility to address corruption issues. “A Congress figure like Rahul Gandhi challenging corruption is akin to a thief questioning theft,” he stated.
