New Delhi, Nov 28 (NationPress) A case has been initiated against the Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) of the Patna-Anand Vihar Superfast Special Train (04089) following the dubious death of a Navy officer’s wife in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh.

The deceased, identified as Aarti Yadav (32), was discovered lifeless along the Samho–Bharthana railway track on Wednesday. Initially ruled as an accidental fall from a moving train, the case has now taken a more sinister turn with new evidence and allegations from her family.

Aarti, a resident of Kanpur Dehat, was traveling alone to Delhi for medical treatment as advised by her husband, Ajay Yadav, who is currently serving in the Indian Navy and is engaged in specialized training in Chennai.

She had a confirmed reservation on another train but reportedly missed it, leading her to board the Patna–Anand Vihar train.

The family claims that once on board, Aarti engaged in a heated dispute with the TTE, identified as Santosh, over her ticket status. The disagreement escalated, and the family accuses the TTE of allegedly pushing her from the moving train in a fit of rage.

Concerns intensified after the family visited the scene on Thursday and found critical evidence scattered over several kilometers. Aarti’s purse was allegedly located four kilometers from the site of her body, while her mobile phone was traced to a different location. The family argues that this significant distance between her belongings indicates foul play rather than an accidental fall.

“This cannot be categorized as a typical accident. The discovery of her items in various places strongly suggests interference or violence,” a family member asserted.

In light of these developments, the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Etawah has filed a case against the TTE under murder-related sections.

Confirming the action, CO GRP Uday Pratap Singh stated: “The initial report suggested that the woman died after falling from the train. However, in response to the family’s allegations, a murder case has now been registered against the TTE. An extensive investigation is currently underway.”

Speaking to the media, Satyavrat Yadav, the deceased's brother-in-law, remarked: “She was traveling for medical care. She possessed a ticket but missed her original train and boarded another. Following the argument, this tragedy occurred. We have come to file a police report and seek justice.”

Further investigations are ongoing.
