Hyderabad, March 8 (NationPress) The Governor of Andhra Pradesh, S. Abdul Nazeer, along with the Chief Ministers of the Telugu states, extended heartfelt greetings to women in recognition of International Women's Day on Sunday.

Nazeer expressed his best wishes to the women of Andhra Pradesh, stating, "Women in our nation have historically played a significant role in our fight for freedom and in maintaining national integrity, peace, and harmony. International Women's Day serves to underscore the achievements of women across various sectors including society, politics, and the economy, while also raising awareness about their rights to equality, justice, and dignity. In our culture, women undeniably lead both in family matters and national development," he remarked.

Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, also conveyed warm wishes to the women and mothers of Telugu families.

The movement for women's empowerment, which began with the provision of equal property rights for girls, continues to evolve, fostering entrepreneurship among women. With a focus on women's progress, the coalition government is rolling out initiatives such as "Talliki Vandanam," complimentary RTC bus travel through "Stree Shakti," the "Deepam-2" free gas cylinder program, and the NTR Bharosa widow pension.

"Through the Mega DSC initiative, we have successfully created teaching positions for 7,955 women and constable roles for 993 women. We are also providing gratuity benefits for Anganwadi and ASHA workers. Our goal is to empower five lakh women as entrepreneurs, and we have already assisted one lakh women in becoming micro and MSME entrepreneurs," he added.

Focusing on women's health, we have collaborated with the Central government to introduce a free vaccination program aimed at protecting women from cervical cancer. Our commitment includes implementing all essential programs focused on women's progress, safety, dignity, and freedom. We seek your support in achieving further milestones in women's empowerment - best wishes on Women's Day," CM Naidu concluded.

Extending his sincere greetings to all women, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy highlighted that "Naari Shakti is the backbone and soul of our society," praising the resilience, love, and sacrifices made by women.

He affirmed that the state government remains dedicated to executing numerous welfare and development initiatives for women's empowerment.
