Gurugram, April 23 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasized the shared duty of everyone to carefully listen to public complaints and resolve them promptly. He stated that if officials take a proactive approach in noting the concerns of citizens, the process of resolution can be significantly accelerated.
The Chief Minister made these remarks while presiding over a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee in Gurugram on Wednesday.
At the meeting, 19 complaints were discussed, with the Chief Minister addressing 18 of them immediately. He instructed that one case remain pending until the next meeting, directing the relevant officials to provide a status report at that time. "Citizens should not face any inconvenience,” CM Saini remarked, urging for a heightened focus on cleanliness in the city to transform Gurugram into a clean and attractive place.
Before the meeting commenced, the Chief Minister held a two-minute silence in honor of the victims of the terrorist attack that occurred on Tuesday in Jammu and Kashmir. Saini also directed the Municipal Commissioner to hire additional personnel through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam Limited (HKRN) for collecting construction debris and waste at Laser Valley Ground in Sector 29, as well as for door-to-door garbage collection. He reiterated that making Gurugram a clean, beautiful, and well-organized city is a top priority for the government.
He assured that there would be no shortage of resources in reaching these developmental goals. In response to complaints regarding waterlogging and the inadequate upkeep of rainwater harvesting systems in Gurugram, the Chief Minister instructed the concerned department to ensure that all 404 rainwater harvesting units in the district are thoroughly cleaned before the monsoon season.
During the meeting, CM Saini also established a deadline before the next review meeting for the completion of development projects related to Sector 4. Furthermore, addressing a grievance from the Sarpanch of village Mubarakpur concerning the absence of an electricity connection to the village water works for over a year, the Deputy Commissioner was told to personally look into the matter and take strict action against negligent officials.
