Was Colonel Sofiya Qureshi's family proud to join PM Modi's roadshow?

Vadodara, May 26 (NationPress) The family of Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, one of the two distinguished women officers who spearheaded the media briefings on Operation Sindoor, participated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's spectacular roadshow in Vadodara, Gujarat, on Monday.

Among the throngs gathered to witness the Prime Minister's arrival and the vibrant cultural festivities were Colonel Qureshi's parents, Taj Mohammad and Halima Qureshi, along with her brother Sanjay Qureshi and twin sister Shyna Sunsara.

After the event, Shyna Sunsara expressed her feelings to the media, stating, "Meeting PM Modi was an incredible experience. It fills us with immense pride. His roadshow signified a pivotal moment for us, especially regarding women's empowerment, which he fervently supports. It was truly a joyful occasion."

Reflecting on their close relationship, she remarked, "Colonel Sofiya Qureshi is my twin sister, and she is 15 minutes my senior. Her contributions to our country inspire not only me but countless others. She embodies more than just sisterhood—she has become a sister to the nation."

As PM Modi made his way through his home state, he was met with a thunderous reception, as thousands lined the streets from Harni Airport to greet him.

Chants of "Bharat Mata ki Jai", "Modi-Modi", and "Vande Mataram" resonated through the crowd during a special 'Sindoor Samman Yatra', where attendees waved the national flag and showered flowers upon the Prime Minister.

Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, PM Modi took to X to share, "Thank you, Vadodara! It was a tremendous honor to be in this wonderful city. The roadshow was remarkable, especially so early in the day! My heartfelt thanks to all who offered their blessings."

Many participants donned costumes paying homage to the Indian Armed Forces and PM Modi for his leadership during Operation Sindoor.

This visit marks PM Modi's first return to Gujarat following India's recent military operations targeting terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

As he waved to the enthusiastic crowds, many shouted, "We have won!" while capturing the moment on their devices.

Members of the African community also came out to greet the Prime Minister, holding placards with messages like "Peace was attacked: India roared back with justice" and "India's courage is the light that ends the evil of terrorism."

During this visit, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation for various development projects worth Rs 82,000 crore for the state.
