Hyderabad, April 15 (NationPress) The ruling Congress party in Telangana has voiced strong objections to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy's provocative assertion that builders and industrialists are conspiring to overthrow the state government. Several leaders have claimed that there is a plot against the government and have called for an investigation.

They suspect BRS President and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) is behind the MLA’s statement.

Prabhakar Reddy, who is also involved in the real estate sector, declared at a party gathering that builders and industrialists are aiming to destabilize the Telangana government. He even suggested that they might resort to purchasing MLAs if necessary.

This statement caused a significant uproar within political realms. The Congress leaders expressed strong discontent, with some demanding an inquiry.

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy accused Prabhakar Reddy of speaking at KCR’s behest.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad on Tuesday, he stated that since the Congress government took power, attempts have been made to undermine it.

“A conspiracy has been brewing against the government since its inception. The father and son duo aspire to reclaim the chief ministership,” he remarked, referring to KCR and his son K.T. Rama Rao.

The Minister suggested that Prabhakar Reddy is apprehensive about the Bhu Bharati initiative launched by the Congress government, which aims to reclaim land that was encroached upon during the BRS’ time in power.

Srinivas Reddy also mentioned that BRS leaders are struggling to accept that the government managed to regain control of 400 acres in Kancha Gachibowli.

Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar warned that those plotting against the government should be aware that they will not passively allow such attempts to succeed.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President Mahesh Kumar Goud accused Prabhakar Reddy of making his statement as part of a conspiracy. He affirmed that the government has the unwavering support of the populace.

Government whip Adi Srinivas stated that they interpret Prabhakar Reddy’s comments as an attempt to bring down the government.

He mentioned he would urge Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to launch an investigation, and if any wrongdoing is uncovered, appropriate legal action would follow.

Congress MLC Addanki Dayakar suggested that Prabhakar Reddy should undergo a lie detector or narcoanalysis test to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy against the government. He emphasized that they are taking Prabhakar’s statements very seriously and that it is crucial to identify those behind it.
