New Delhi, Sep 29 (NationPress) BJP leader Amit Malviya criticized the Congress party on Monday for not extending congratulations to Team India following their triumphant victory in the Asia Cup 2025. He remarked that Congress appears to be waiting for 'approval from Pakistan' before partaking in the celebration of India's achievement.

In a post on X, Amit Malviya, the BJP's IT Cell chief, remarked, 'It seems India's remarkable victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup final has left Rahul Gandhi and the entire Congress in a state of paralysis.'

He drew a parallel to the decisive military actions of the Indian Armed Forces, saying, 'Just like after Operation Sindoor, when they failed to congratulate the Indian Army for its exceptional strikes, they now seem to be waiting for clearance from Mohsin Naqvi and their other handlers in Pakistan before joining the nation in celebrating the Indian cricket team's success.'

Malviya pointed out that Congress has not once congratulated Team India on social media for 'defeating Pakistan thrice in the tournament and bringing the Asia Cup home.'

'Once again, Pakistan, Rahul Gandhi, and Congress find themselves on the same side of the divide,' Malviya added.

Earlier in the day, BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari also accused Congress of undermining India's national interests and labeled them as a 'B-Team' of Pakistan.

In a post on X, he targeted Congress and the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, for failing to acknowledge Team India's victory in the Asia Cup 2025 after they triumphed over Pakistan on Sunday.

'Congress is against India's national interest! On one hand, Rahul Gandhi has not congratulated the Indian cricket team for defeating Pakistan on the sports battlefield! On the other hand, when Pakistan is completely cornered, Congress leaders ask for sportsmanship against Pakistan!'

'Why does Congress always support Pakistan over India?' he questioned.

Bhandari further labeled Congress as the 'B-Team of Pakistan.' He directed his comments towards Gandhi, stating, 'In Operation Sindoor, Congress sided with Pakistan. In Operation Tilak, Congress stands with Pakistan. Rahul Gandhi is the best friend of Asim Munir!'

Fans erupted in joy on Sunday night as Team India clinched a thrilling five-wicket victory over their arch-rivals Pakistan to secure the Asia Cup 2025, marking their ninth win in this continental tournament.

The victory was largely thanks to the spinners, with Kuldeep Yadav leading a remarkable turnaround on a challenging pitch. From a solid position of 113/1 in the 13th over, Pakistan collapsed to 146 all out in just 19.1 overs, losing their last nine wickets for a mere 33 runs.

Across various cities, towns, and villages, fans celebrated this historic win with chants, fireworks, and an overwhelming buzz on social media.

The final, held at the Dubai International Stadium, echoed the fierce rivalry between India and Pakistan.

Point of View

It's crucial to remain unbiased and focused on the nation's interests. The recent comments from BJP leaders highlight the ongoing political tensions that overshadow sports achievements. While cricket unites the nation, political narratives should not undermine the joy of victory and national pride. We stand with the nation, celebrating its successes.
