Secunderabad, Nov 28 (NationPress) Teams representing Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh secured wins during the 14th Hockey India Sub-junior Women's National Championship 2024, which showcased a series of exciting matches on the third day of action at the South Central Railways Sports Complex on Thursday.

In Pool B, Hockey Jharkhand delivered an outstanding performance, defeating Chhattisgarh Hockey with a score of 5-0. Jamuna Kumari was the star of the match, netting a remarkable hat-trick (8’, 37’, 50’) supported by Hemrom Fulmani, who added two goals (23’, 41’).

In Pool D, Hockey Uttarakhand triumphed over Hockey Rajasthan 3-1 to secure all three points. Raeen Kehkasha Ali opened the scoring (9’, 37’), and despite an equalizer from Guddi of Hockey Rajasthan (36’), Raeen struck again followed by a goal from Vansi (50’) to clinch the win.

Hockey Andhra Pradesh dominated in Pool H, overpowering Hockey Bengal with a final score of 6-1. Nandini Munipalli Naga scored twice (22’, 43’), while Lakshmi Pariki (15’), Teja Chilluru Naga (38’), Captain Kuppa Tulasi (46’), and Ragula Nagamari (60’) also contributed with goals. Hockey Bengal managed a consolation goal from Srestha Chatterjee (43’).

In Pool G, the match between Hockey Punjab and Hockey Gujarat ended in a 2-2 draw. Hockey Gujarat took an early lead with goals from Sanjana Dosabhai Nandaniya (8’) and Jadeja Bhavnaba (23’), but Hockey Punjab fought back, leveling the score with goals from Kaur Khushveer (25’) and Kaur Taranveer (58’).

The encounter in Pool C between Hockey Himachal and the Hockey Association of Odisha was forfeited by Hockey Himachal, resulting in a 5-0 victory being awarded to the Hockey Association of Odisha.

In Pool F, Hockey Jammu and Kashmir was scheduled to face Hockey Karnataka, but the former forfeited, granting Hockey Karnataka a 5-0 win.
