NDMC Vice Chairperson Kuljeet Chahal noted that the event aims to showcase participation from various institutes and individuals from other states and is part of the initiative titled “Viksit Bharat, Viksit NDMC”.
During the two-day event, participants from several organizations including TERI, CPWD, PGI Chandigarh, and IARI-PUSA will present their exhibits across different categories, as mentioned by Chahal.
The main attractions of the show will be the display of roses in pots and cut flowers, featuring a variety of rose types such as Hybrid Tea, Floribunda, Miniature, and Polyantha.
In addition to the Winter Rose Show, a painting competition for students from NDMC Schools is scheduled, along with a showcase of value-added rose products, artistic bouquets, garlands, and Ikebana arrangements.

The NDMC encourages the public to attend the show from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on December 21 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 22.
This event promises to be a visual delight for rose enthusiasts, providing an opportunity to admire a wide range of rose blooms displayed in both vases and pots.
Earlier this week, the Council approved the establishment of the Urban Arts and Culture Forum, which will advise the NDMC on cultural promotion and the enhancement of performing and visual arts, identifying areas for improvement within the civic agency.
Chahal emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s focus on preserving and promoting India's rich cultural heritage through the motto “Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi”, stating that this forum will significantly contribute to enriching the cultural landscape of the NDMC area and nurturing community creativity.
