New Delhi, Aug 8 (NationPress) In a significant operation against drug trafficking, the Narcotics unit of the Delhi Police’s North-West District successfully apprehended two individuals involved in drug peddling and seized 1.081 kg of high-quality opium from them.
The arrests took place near Gate No. 5 of Azadpur Mandi, following a precise tip-off. The suspects have been named as Ranjeet (25) and Rajesh Singh (21), both hailing from Nathupur in Gurugram, Haryana. In addition to the illicit substance, authorities also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used for transporting the drugs.
As per police reports, a dedicated team led by ASI Chander Pal, along with HC Rohit, HC Parveen, and HC Sunil, was deployed based on reliable intelligence concerning drug smuggling operations in the area. The operation was supervised by Inspector Madan Mohan and guided overall by ACP Operations Sh. Ranjeet Dhaka.
