Chennai, Jan 3 (NationPress) The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has introduced a robust, technology-driven initiative aimed at soliciting public input for its electoral manifesto in preparation for the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
The AI-powered platform, alongside a dedicated mobile number, website, email address, and social media outlets, was officially launched by DMK President and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin at Anna Arivalayam, as part of the party's effort to craft its manifesto.
As stated in a press release from the DMK, this initiative seeks to promote extensive public involvement in defining the party's vision for the state.
Individuals can share their opinions and policy suggestions through various channels, including a phone line (08069446900), WhatsApp (9384001724), email (dmkmanifesto2026@dmk.in), the party's website (www.dmk.in/ta/manifesto2026), social media account (dmkmanifesto26), and the AI portal tnmanifesto.ai.
The DMK has established a 12-member committee to prepare the election manifesto, led by the party's Deputy General Secretary Kanimozhi Karunanidhi.
This committee will engage in comprehensive discussions with various groups in society, including farmers, business leaders, youth, women, and others, while traveling throughout districts to gather insights for the manifesto.
The statement emphasized the party's governance achievements, noting that DMK had made 505 promises in its 2021 Assembly election manifesto, with approximately 80 percent (or 404) promises fulfilled to date.
Out of these, 364 commitments have been completed or are currently in progress, while 40 announcements are being actively considered by the state government.
However, 101 promises have not been implemented for various reasons, according to the DMK.
Thirty-seven commitments, such as abolishing the NEET examination and designating the Thirukkural as a national scripture, were hindered by a lack of cooperation from the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Union government.
Additionally, 64 promises faced obstacles due to local protests, administrative issues, and prevailing circumstances.
The statement also highlighted that numerous significant welfare initiatives were launched by the Dravidian Model government even if they were not included in the original manifesto.
These initiatives include the Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme, Illam Thedi Kalvi, Pudumai Pen, Naam Muthalvan, Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam, Kalaignar's Kanavu Illam, and the "Ungaludan Stalin" initiative.
The DMK is now gearing up for a "Dravidian Model 2.0" government and has invited citizens across Tamil Nadu to engage actively in the manifesto development process by sharing their ideas for the state's future.
