Gandhinagar, April 14 (NationPress) National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval emphasized on Tuesday that the foundation of national security is rooted in the morale of the populace and the awareness of its citizens. He remarked that security cannot merely be gauged through military might or technological advancements; rather, it should be perceived as a shared national obligation.
While addressing the fifth convocation of Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) in Gujarat, after receiving an honorary doctorate from President Droupadi Murmu, Doval urged those in the security sector to merge strong character with contemporary knowledge and a results-driven mindset to effectively tackle emerging threats.

He noted the critical nature of security, stating, “In this field, outcomes are definitive. There is no silver medal in security; it’s either victory or defeat. When victorious, the nation is safe; when defeated, the very existence is at stake.” He encouraged the graduating cohort to remain dedicated to national service with discipline and commitment.
According to Doval, security transcends the military and police, integrating various aspects of national life where coordination, awareness, and ethical responsibility are pivotal for successful outcomes.
