Mumbai, Aug 31 (NationPress) Director Danish Renzu, who has directed the newly released streaming film 'Songs of Paradise', shared insights on the film's production.

This period drama draws inspiration from the life of Padma Shri awardee Raj Begum. The lead roles are played by Saba Azad and Soni Razdan across two different eras, providing a glimpse into the life of the esteemed Padma Shri awardee.

In a recent discussion with IANS during the film's promotional activities, the director revealed how they achieved authentic production design. He stated, “The entire film was shot in genuine locations, including historic homes, ancient buildings, silk factories, and Amar Singh University. They retain their old charm, devoid of any modern alterations.”

Renzu emphasized that the well-preserved architecture in Kashmir alleviated the need for extensive modifications, as the original structures were intact.

He remarked to IANS, “Kashmir exudes that unique vibe, especially in the downtown areas where we filmed; it's still raw and authentic, with minimal man-made alterations. I ensured we filmed in those places for maximum legitimacy and authenticity. Fortunately, we discovered these locations, requiring little to no VFX, as they looked just as they did in the past. That’s the real charm of this project.”

Previously, actress Saba Azad shared her challenges in mastering the Kashmiri accent for her role. Although she has experience with a different Kashmiri dialect, the character required a specific accent from Srinagar. She admitted that perfecting her character's diction was quite challenging.
