New Delhi, Feb 25 (NationPress) Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, vehemently criticized Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, along with the Gandhi family, asserting that they have consistently compromised national interests.

During a press conference at the BJP headquarters in the capital, Goyal stated, "For Rahul Gandhi, compromise is synonymous. The Gandhi family leads a Congress party that is entirely compromised. The history of the Congress, whether past or present, is marred by corruption and their tendency to yield to foreign pressures, jeopardizing the nation and the future of its youth — numerous instances of this are evident to the public."

He further claimed that Rahul Gandhi embodies negative politics, accusing him of breaching established protocols during his travels abroad.

"Rahul Gandhi has become the emblem of negative politics. A compromised Rahul Gandhi travels internationally 247 times, disregarding the Yellow Book protocol. Each time he ventures overseas, he undermines the security arrangements set by the government. His foreign travels compromise India and its people," Goyal remarked.

The Union Minister also asserted that Gandhi maintains connections with individuals and organizations he labeled as anti-national.

"Everyone is aware of the anti-national forces he associates with. Reports of him meeting Ilhan Omar, who has questionable ties to George Soros, continue to emerge. His visits to border-sensitive areas like Ladakh, where he engages with foreign individuals opposed to India's interests, such as Shakir Mirali, are concerning," he added.

Goyal charged that Gandhi connects with individuals linked to countries like China and Pakistan, as well as Soros, asserting that such interactions undermine India's integrity.

"The nation has continually observed how he attempts to weaken India economically and destabilize the Indian economy by employing the tools of organizations like OCCRP," he stated.

According to Goyal, Rahul Gandhi has presented what he refers to as a "very clever strategy" to both domestic and global audiences.

"Essentially, he is merely a pawn of anti-India forces, organizations, and governments. This is the compromised Rahul Gandhi and his family that is evident today, whether in Parliament, during press conferences, or elsewhere. We have witnessed how he interacts with the media. You cannot pose an uncomfortable question to Rahul Gandhi without being labeled as a BJP-aligned journalist. He only prefers curated press events. Such a person is at the helm of the Congress party," he asserted.

He accused Gandhi of "playing with the nation" and placing the interests of the country's citizens at risk.

Reflecting on the era of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Goyal remarked, "You witnessed how Rahul and Sonia Gandhi wielded powers beyond their constitutional scope. They frequently disregarded Cabinet decisions publicly. They disrespected the Prime Minister, dictated government actions through the National Advisory Council, and imposed leftist ideologies on the nation. Rahul Gandhi and his mother operated a shadow cabinet, compromising the country."

He also brought up former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in relation to the Bofors scandal.

"Even Rajiv Gandhi never hesitated to compromise the nation. We all know that during the Bofors scandal, the Foreign Minister attempted to obstruct the Swedish investigation under Gandhi's directives. To protect his friend Ottavio Quattrocchi, an honest inquiry into Bofors was impeded. I am uncertain of the extent of Congress and Rajiv Gandhi's involvement in Bofors," Goyal commented.

He also criticized former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for compromising national interests during her administration.

"We remember how Ambassador Moynihan confirmed that the CIA provided funds to Congress for elections on multiple occasions. Congress was known to conduct its political affairs in collaboration with the CIA. The Mitrokhin Archives reveal how the KGB funneled money in suitcases to corrupt Indira Gandhi. Time and again, we observe the compromising actions of this Gandhi family," he concluded.

"Funds from the KGB were reportedly delivered directly to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's residence -- this is documented in the Mitrokhin Archives. In the 1971 Shimla Agreement, we released 93,000 Pakistani prisoners... Why didn’t they claim Pakistan-occupied Kashmir?... The compromised Congress must answer for these actions," Goyal added.
