Gandhinagar, Feb 5 (NationPress) Gujarat has made a considerable advancement in enhancing healthcare and regional infrastructure by unveiling 14 state-of-the-art MRI machines and launching 31 development projects in Kheda district.
The newly acquired MRI machines, each equipped with 1.5 Tesla technology and costing Rs 12.75 crore each, have been procured for a total of Rs 178.54 crore on Thursday.
These machines will be set up in GMERS and Civil Hospitals located in Dharpur, Vadnagar, Valsad, Junagadh, Navsari, Rajpipla, Godhra, Porbandar, Morbi, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Jamnagar, and Visnagar.
The introduction of these machines is anticipated to deliver patients with quicker, more precise, and high-quality diagnostic services, thereby enhancing access to affordable healthcare across the region.
On the same occasion, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated 31 development projects exceeding Rs 348 crore in Kheda district, marking the establishment of the new Fagvel taluka.
Out of these, 13 projects valued at over Rs 234 crore were inaugurated, while foundation stones for 18 projects worth more than Rs 113 crore were laid.
The projects encompass areas such as irrigation, water supply, roads, infrastructure, health services, and animal husbandry.
While paying homage to Veer Bhathiji Maharaj in Fagvel, CM Patel remarked: “Fagvel is a realm of courage and devotion, recognized not only in Gujarat but throughout India. In 2002, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced the Gujarat Gaurav Yatra from this revered land, and today this developmental journey has expanded globally under his guidance.”
He further stated: “Under the Mukhyamantri Gramotthan Yojana, 114 villages lacking municipal status will receive urban-level amenities. This initiative will soon extend to larger villages with populations over 10,000. Land for the Fagvel Taluka Service Centre has been allocated, and within a year, residents will have access to a modern administrative facility.”
Cabinet Minister Raman Solanki referred to this event as “a new era of development” for Fagvel.
He emphasized that the inauguration of projects related to irrigation, water supply, and rural infrastructure will revolutionize the region and enhance public welfare.
State Revenue Minister Sanjaysinh Mahida noted: “Kheda, once known for its tobacco (golden leaf) production, is now swiftly advancing towards holistic development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.”
This significant event was attended by senior ministers, MLAs, district officials, municipal authorities, and local residents.
