Shivpuri, May 19 (NationPress) The village of Hatod, a previously overlooked area in the city, is experiencing a remarkable transformation, primarily due to the PM-JANMAN scheme, which has facilitated the transition of impoverished families from kuccha to pucca homes.
Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) has made it possible for those who previously resided in kuccha houses to now have access to duplex-style homes.
The tribal communities, who are the main beneficiaries of this initiative, have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The newly constructed pucca houses are equipped with well-paved roads and modern amenities. Furthermore, each street in the village has been named in honor of martyrs, giving Hatod a touch of an ideal village.
Families that once lived in makeshift huts are now enjoying the benefits of clean housing, toilets, gas cylinders, as well as electricity and water facilities.
Numerous tribal residents shared their stories of this significant change with IANS.
Villagers like Rambeti, Siya, Vidya, Vice Ram, and Sajan recounted how they used to reside in kutcha homes with leaky roofs; today, they can finally sleep soundly.
Siya, a local resident, expressed her deep appreciation for PM Modi and the PM-JANMAN Yojana.
“We now have drinking water through the Jal Jeevan Mission, health coverage via the Ayushman card, and gas cylinders from the Ujjwala Yojana,” she joyfully shared.
“I received a house through the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana. I am truly grateful to Prime Minister Modi for these provisions,” she added.
Another villager noted that many families are reaping benefits from various public welfare initiatives launched by the Modi administration, for which they are immensely thankful to the Prime Minister.
It is important to highlight that the PM-Janman Yojana's objective is to provide essential services such as secure housing, clean drinking water, improved sanitation, education, healthcare, nutrition, enhanced road and telecom connectivity, and sustainable livelihood opportunities for PVTG houses and dwellings.
The Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) is a flagship program of the Modi government, launched with the goal of ensuring the overall development and welfare of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).
