Neemuch, April 21 (NationPress) The aspiration of having a pucca (permanent) home is a cherished dream for individuals from marginalized and underprivileged backgrounds. What once seemed unattainable is now becoming a reality, thanks to financial support from the central government.
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), introduced by the Modi administration, has yielded remarkable outcomes in establishing a robust housing infrastructure in the nation. This initiative has provided financial aid to lower and middle-income families, enabling them to own their pucca homes.
In the Singoli Nagar Parishad of Jawad Tehsil in Neemuch district, over 700 families have experienced the transformative impact of PMAY, showcasing its incredible success.
These families, who previously lived under thatched roofs, now enjoy the comfort of permanent homes, with their faces beaming with joy—a clear testament to their satisfaction.
Many express their gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making their dreams a reality. A shared sentiment among them is, ‘PM Modi recognized their struggles and accomplished what previous governments failed to do.’
Suraj, a resident of Ward No. 2 in Singoli Nagar Parishad, shared with IANS that his family benefitted from the PMAY.
“Previously, we lived in a kutcha house; now we have a permanent structure. We faced numerous challenges during the rainy season, but with this permanent house, I feel secure. We received Rs 2.5 lakh through this scheme,” he explained.
Ramila Bai, the wife of beneficiary Santosh, mentioned that they have now transitioned to a pucca house.
“We experienced water leaks during rainy seasons, leading to considerable trouble in our previous home. Thanks to the Rs. 2.5 lakhs we received under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, we have constructed our own permanent home. We are grateful to PM Modi,” she expressed.
Importantly, the PMAY initiative aims to deliver affordable and durable housing solutions to economically disadvantaged sections, including low-income and middle-income groups. This program not only provides housing but also empowers millions of impoverished families to elevate their living conditions and realize their aspirations.
