Transforming Dreams: PMAY Recipients in MP Share Their Journey from Kuccha to Pucca Homes

Jabalpur, Dec 20 (NationPress) The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), launched nearly ten years ago, has made the aspirations of millions a reality, creating a profound change in their lives by facilitating the shift from kuccha to pucca homes.
Numerous PMAY beneficiaries from Madhya Pradesh’s Harda and Jabalpur districts recounted their experiences to IANS on Friday, illustrating how their living conditions improved with financial support from the Modi government.
Many recipients of the initiative expressed their heartfelt appreciation to PM Modi, crediting the government’s program for their current residence in pucca (permanent) houses.
One beneficiary, Kshama Malviya, residing in ward number 34 of Harda district, shared, “Previously, our home was kuccha, and we encountered numerous challenges. I often worried about my family. Now, I have a pucca house where my family and I live joyfully. My aspiration of relocating to a pucca house has been realized.
She continued, “I received Rs 2.50 lakh through PMAY, enabling me to construct a permanent home. I am grateful to Prime Minister Modi for making this possible. Owning a permanent house was beyond our imagination due to our weak financial situation.”
Another beneficiary, Deepak, also from Harda, mentioned that he received the funds in three installments.
“My dream of having a permanent house has come true thanks to PM Modi. The impoverished are obtaining permanent homes via the PM Awas Yojana. I wish to express my gratitude to the Prime Minister for this initiative,” he remarked.
Gopal, a beneficiary from Jabalpur, stated that he learned about PMAY from the local MLA.
“I am happily residing in this concrete home with my entire family. We are grateful to Prime Minister Modi. He introduced this wonderful scheme for the underprivileged. This initiative is helping the poor transition from kutcha houses to concrete homes,” he added.
It is noteworthy that the PMAY scheme commenced in 2015, aiming to provide permanent housing to the poor.
