Arvind Krishna, Chairman, President, and CEO of IBM, remarked that India harbors the talent and ambition required to emerge as a global leader in AI and quantum technology.
“India has the potential to lead globally in AI & Quantum. Mastery of frontier technologies will shape economic competitiveness, scientific advancement, and societal change,” Krishna stated.
“By democratizing access to advanced skills, we empower the youth and students to innovate and propel India’s growth,” he added.
IBM is also enhancing AI education at the school level. The company is co-creating an AI curriculum for senior secondary students and providing teaching resources like an AI Project Cookbook, a teacher handbook, and explainer modules.
These initiatives aim to introduce computational thinking and responsible AI principles at an early stage, assisting educators in effectively delivering AI education.
Central to this initiative is IBM SkillsBuild, recognized as one of the largest and most user-friendly digital learning platforms globally.
It provides access to over 1,000 courses encompassing AI, cybersecurity, quantum computing, cloud technologies, data management, sustainability, and workplace skills.
