Moreover, key areas of collaboration discussed included student exchanges, training and capacity-building initiatives, and technology sharing related to small-scale machinery and digital agricultural tools.
The ministry noted that the dialogue also concentrated on bolstering research infrastructure, initiatives for genetic exchange, and sharing knowledge to minimize food waste.
Last month, India's High Commissioner to Fiji, Suneet Mehta, met with Fiji's Minister for Immigration, Viliame B Naupoto, to discuss topics of mutual interest, such as skilled mobility and the enhancement of bilateral relations.
On December 11, the Indian High Commission in Fiji and the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Suva hosted a cultural evening featuring alumni of the Know India Programme (KIP) in Fiji. The KIP alumni shared their experiences from their visits to India and engaged in insightful discussions.
