Dr. Mohammad Momin Khan, Vice President of AIMSA and FAIMA Doctors Association, confirmed that Indian medical students previously in Tehran have been safely moved to the relatively safer city of Qom by the Indian Embassy.

He stated, "Due to the ongoing conflicts in Iran, our Indian medical students have been successfully relocated to Qom, arriving safely this morning, with others continuing to arrive. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Iran for prioritizing the safety of Indian nationals during this critical time."

The associations are actively communicating with both the students and embassy officials to keep track of the situation and to ensure that all remaining students are transitioned to secure locations promptly.

The associations reiterated their request for ongoing collaboration between the MEA and Indian missions worldwide to protect students pursuing medical education abroad, particularly in regions affected by conflict.

They also encouraged students and their families to stay in touch with the embassy and adhere to official guidance until stability is restored.
