Jaipur, Nov 24 (NationPress) Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla stated on Monday that India has positioned itself as a significant player in the global investment landscape.

He highlighted the keen interest from numerous developed nations to invest in India, emphasizing that the capabilities and expertise of Indian youth are increasingly sought after on a global scale.

Birla also remarked that the nation has transformed into a prominent nucleus for innovation and startups. These comments were made during the inauguration of the newly built Udaipur Chamber of Commerce in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

Praising Udaipur for its unique blend of lakes, mountains, culture, and heritage, Birla expressed that visiting the city is always a delightful experience.

He pointed out that Udaipur’s status as a tourist hotspot not only creates millions of jobs but also instills a sense of pride in the country.

Furthermore, its abundant resources—ranging from minerals to handicrafts and trade—have cemented its role as a vital national trade center, significantly contributing to the advancement of both Rajasthan and India.

The Lok Sabha Speaker remarked that the new building of the Chamber symbolizes the unity and future aspirations of the business community in Udaipur.

He expressed optimism that it will serve as a crucial hub for dialogue and partnership among entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and startups. Birla urged all parties involved to collaborate in making Udaipur an innovation center, encouraging youth to focus on grassroots innovation leveraging local resources.

Highlighting the role of MSMEs as the backbone of the economy, he noted that initiatives like the Mudra Yojana and credit guarantee schemes are providing considerable support to small enterprises.
