Srinagar, Sep 17 (NationPress) In a gesture aimed at promoting selfless service during the 'Sewa Pakhwada' on Wednesday, the Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, distributed fruits to patients at a hospital in Srinagar. “Selfless service strengthens community ties and fosters a shared mission. I visited JLNM Hospital Rainawari today and handed out fruits to the patients in celebration of the 75th birthday of our esteemed Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Various initiatives under the Sewa Parv are focused on empowering women and enhancing health services. The Hon'ble PM has devoted his life to serving the nation,” L-G Manoj Sinha stated on X.

He emphasized that, during his tenure, the last 11 years have marked a significant transformation for India, which is now recognized as the world’s fourth-largest economy. “The Hon’ble Prime Minister has made it a priority that the benefits of economic development reach the underprivileged and marginalized communities. Approximately 25 Crore people have risen above the poverty line. India's global standing has significantly improved under his visionary guidance,” he wrote in his post.

Earlier, L-G Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and BJP leaders from the Union Territory joined thousands of supporters in celebrating the Prime Minister's 75th birthday.

Under your visionary leadership, our nation is achieving remarkable advancements across all sectors. Your dedication to the welfare of the people continues to motivate us,” L-G Sinha expressed in his post on X.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also shared his greetings on X, stating, “Sending best wishes to Hon PM @narendramodi Sb on his 75th birthday. May he enjoy good health and a long life dedicated to the service of our nation and its citizens.”

J&K BJP president Sat Sharma remarked, “In honor of our respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji's birthday, I engaged in a cleanliness campaign conducted under the Sewa Pakhwada at the Radha Krishna Temple in Shakti Nagar, Jammu. I also prayed at the temple for the Prime Minister's long life and good health. On this occasion, prasad was distributed.”

The Sewa Pakhwada campaign in Jammu and Kashmir will encompass various public welfare and awareness initiatives, including statewide blood donation drives, health check-up camps, cleanliness campaigns, tree planting efforts, distribution of assistive devices for those with disabilities, and awareness programs highlighting public welfare schemes.
