CM Omar Abdullah announced plans for new tourism circuits and the recognition of nine emerging destinations designed to provide unique experiences for travelers.
Reflecting on previous adversities, he acknowledged that valuable lessons have been learned from past events.
“Have we taken lessons from last year's events? The prolonged closure of many destinations signifies the insights we've gained,” he noted, reaffirming a focus on building a more resilient and adaptive tourism environment for the future.
The gathering was organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Forum, led by esteemed hotelier Mushtaq Chaya.
Wahid Malik, the Honorary Secretary General of the Forum, termed the event a historic milestone in establishing J&K as a safe, vibrant all-season tourism destination.
Mushtaq Chaya referred to the current era as one of “unprecedented growth and development,” assuring guests of top-notch hospitality and enhanced amenities throughout J&K.
The event saw attendance from Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, MLAs Pirzada Farooq Ahmad Shah, Tanvir Sadiq, and Altaf Ahmad Wani, Director of Tourism Jammu Vikas Gupta, ambassadors from multiple nations, travel association heads, senior government officials, and key tourism stakeholders, marking it as a pivotal occasion for J&K tourism promotion.
