Mumbai, April 6 (NationPress) In the next episode of the singing reality show, Karisma Kapoor will discuss her all-time favorite film featuring the late icon and her uncle, Rishi Kapoor.
In a newly released promo by the host channel, Karisma shared that Rishi Kapoor's movie Karz has always been a cherished favorite in the Kapoor family.
“Let me tell you, Karz is undoubtedly my favorite film of Chintu uncle,” Karisma expressed.
She continued, “I was quite young at the time, but I was absolutely captivated by this film. The background score, ‘Tu Ru Ru.. Tu Ru Ru,’ the title track, the music, and the performances were all remarkable. The script was, I believe, ahead of its time.”
“To witness an extraordinary talent like Chintu uncle transition into such a unique genre was phenomenal. He showcased intensity, comedy, and dance all in one. I truly believe he was one of the most exceptional talents in the industry,” she added.
Rishi Kapoor, affectionately known as Chintu, was the second son of legendary actor-director Raj Kapoor and the grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor.
Karz, released in 1980, starred Rishi Kapoor alongside Tina Munim and Simi Garewal in pivotal roles.
The film's iconic song Ek Haseena Thi from Om Shanti Om became a massive hit and is still celebrated today.
This movie revolves around themes of rebirth, revenge, and thrill.
Throughout his career spanning more than four decades, Rishi Kapoor was a prominent figure in the Bollywood industry.
On a personal note, he was married to actress Neetu Singh, and they had two children: Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor and jewelry designer Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.
Sadly, Rishi Kapoor passed away in April 2020 after a brave fight against cancer.
