In light of this progress, Minister Cheluvarayaswamy expressed gratitude on Saturday, stating, “On behalf of the state government, I sincerely thank Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for addressing our appeal in the best interests of Karnataka’s farmers, overcoming technical challenges, and ensuring fairness for the farmers.”
He emphasized that with the Centre's intervention, qualified farmers will receive their financial aid punctually.
Additionally, he mentioned that directives have been sent to departmental officials to accelerate the verification process for the remaining farmers, ensuring they are also included in the scheme as soon as possible.
An official statement released on Saturday noted, "On December 17, 2025, Minister Cheluvarayaswamy wrote to Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, indicating that over 30,000 eligible farmers were being denied benefits due to technical issues. He also raised this matter in person during the Union Minister's recent visit to the state for an international trade fair."
In response to this request, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan confirmed that, based on the verification provided by the state government, over 22,000 beneficiaries have already been added to the payment roster for the 22nd installment, with funds set to be disbursed soon. He assured in his correspondence that remaining cases would be included in the scheme once state officials complete the verification process, as stated in the announcement.
